Where, in your opinion, is the best place for Tassie to host local National/International matches?

surely if you are playing the likes of american samoa you dont have to have a 40,000 strong crowd? i thought the FFA would want to promote the game around the country??

Any of Aurora Stadium, North Hobart Oval or Bellerive Oval.

Of the 3 above I haven't been to NH Oval, but from pictures I get the view that it is slightly more oval (as opposed to circular) than Bellerive, so it is probably the best venue in Hobart - despite it being ugly from the outside. And of course, over summer does not clash with the cricket.

International games don't have to be 40k - that's just for World Cup games. Loftus Road (where recent Socceroos games have been played in London) is under 20k.

NH Oval is a bit of a hole, but in saying that it is a bit more of an intimate stadium, thus, probably better for a soccer match. The crowd would feel a little close to the pitch than at Bellerive. I attended the A-League game at York Park last year and that was an awesome venue for it!
